Augustin has painted her face so delicately capturing he very pretty features from her wonderful red lips to her striking brown eyes, this Georgian young lady had been painted so very delicately and in so much stunning fine detail. She is then wearing a pale blue drees with puffed sleeves, the neckline is scolloped shape with a lace edging creating a delicate frilled edging, the detailing showing the lace is suberb, to the front of her dress you will see a wonderful deep. Ochre panel which in turn is finished by this stunning large yellow bow with the most stunning highlights, the style of clothing gives a wonderful insight in to the date this wonderful portrait was painted which i would estimate to be circa 1790. Augustin has then signed this wonderful miniature master piece..
Its just so very beautiful, this is then framed with a gold colour banding, on opening this wonderful rare faux Tortoiseshell snuff box you will see it has its original interior, it would have belonged to either to the lady in the Portrait or her loved one. The quality of the painting is breath taking, this would have once belonged to a very wealthy Gentleman or Lady in circa 1790, it is so special, the quality of the craftsmanship is superb, this snuff box is so very tactile and once held it has the most wonderful feel. This will add something very special to any collection, my photos dont do it justice. You will not find another like this on the market it is so very rare.
